Daily Skincare Routine Basics

Beauty

The 10-step Korean Skin Care Routine, or what I call daily skincare routine basics, seems crazy intense, and it is, but it’s completely worth it. While 10 steps can seem intimidating, it breaks down into 4 simple parts: cleanse, tone, nourish, and protect. Read my daily beauty routine to see how I action these steps along with my current products. If you’re new to skincare, my post on Five Skincare Tips to Live By might be another helpful place to start.

  • CLEANSE

Oil Cleanse | removes first layer of dirt and makeup

Water-Based Cleanse | ensures there is no residue left after the oil cleanse

Exfoliate | gets rid of dead skin cells and makes it possible for products to penetrate pores

  • TONE

Toner | balances skin pH levels so face remains hydrated and prepped for products that follow

  • NOURISH

Essence | aids cell turnover while hydrating and repairing the skin

Treatments | targets and treats specific skin needs based on unique individual

Sheet Masks | do 1x week to maximize nourishment; can also supplement sheet masks for other deep treatments. Read more about How to Master At-Home Chemical Peels.

Eye Cream | protects and hydrates delicate eye area

  • PROTECT

Moisturizer | seals in moisture and smooths away fine lines

Sun Protection | prevents aging, sun spots, melasma, and skin cancer (morning only)
